Hello,
how are you doing lately?
I am sorry
because I have not updated the blog since I went to Langkawi for a vacation. I
was very happy and excited since this is my very first visit to the island. I
went there with my parents and my eldest brother.
As usual
before going for a holiday, I will look up for related information such as how
to get to the island, where to stay, how to transport on the island, etc.
So, today I am going to share with you all my dearly readers a few tips and tricks on how to spend on budget holiday.
1. TIME
Based on my previous experience it is very crucial to choose the right
timing to go for a holiday. Please avoid public holiday and school holiday
because the hotel fare will be at the peek at this moment. My family and I
stayed at a budget hotel for 2 nights for only RM 290. As for the
transportation we rent Toyota Vios RM 60 per day. If during schoo l holiday the
rent usually up to RM 90 per day. Since we drive the car on our own so we have
to bare the petrol fee. We spent around RM 30 for petrol.
2. PLACES
After been looking for a suggestion on a few travel web, my family and I
choose to stay at Pantai Chenang, Langgura Baron Resort since this is more for
rest and retreat for all four of us. Also there are many facilities near the
resort and there were in walking distance. For instance there are Chenang Mall,
seafood restaurants, and fast-food restaurants. We took a ferry from Kuala
Perlis to Langkawi and it only cost us RM 18 per person for one trip (p.s.
Please prepare some medicine if you have seasick). This time we did not go to
for a cable car ride at Gunung Mat Chinchang. But on the first day, we went to
the very big and beautiful aquarium at Under Water World. The cost for entrance
was RM 30 per person. Next we went to the Oriental Village and ride a vehicle
called Duck Tour and it is only for RM 38 per person. This service trip is a
car that can run on land and in the sea that entertain the visitor with music along
the one hour ride. Then, we went for a horse drown carriage and its only cost
for RM 10. On the second day, we went for shopping in the town. The trip to
Langkawi would not complete without shopping spree on chocolate. I spent for
about RM 200. Beside that, I also bought a few pieces of kain batik. The best
part is that Langkawi is a free duty island

3. EATERY
There are many choices of restaurant to dine. For breakfast
we ate at the hotel. The food they served varies from western to Malay food. We
choose to eat lunch and dinner at the local restaurant. But mostly we choose
for seafood restaurant. Average we spent a around RM 80 for lunch and for
dinner around RM 100.
